The 2026 edition of Cremona Musica stood out for us because of the excellent discussions we had with customers and the opportunity to meet them in person. We noticed that luthiers showed greater interest in the acoustic properties of our bridges, which is a sign of an encouraging trend whereby sound is becoming more important than aesthetics. This stance aligns fully with our commitment to using forest resources in a rational manner. By focusing more on the acoustic qualities of wood over its appearance, this mindset shift enables us to continue felling fewer trees
With nearly 300 luthiers for a mere 70,000 inhabitants, Cremona is the bona fide capital of violin making. For every professional who seeks excellence, Cremona Musica is an international trade show that is a must, no matter how far away it is. This year, many visitors made the journey from South America, in particular from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela. Specialists from the USA, Canada, Japan, China, Taiwan and South Korea were once again in attendance, too.
